Our greatest feedback comes from the Residents who call Kintyre Living their home.
We always enjoy hearing what our Residents think of the Village and take all feedback as an opportunity to further improve the service we provide.
Please take the time to have a read of the lovely testimonial we received from two of our newest Residents about their move to Kintyre Living.
A LIVING EXPERIENCE
For many years I have always maintained that in the latter stages of our lives, my wife and I would need to move to a Retirement Village.
We had our own home in the north-west area of Sydney, but I knew that in our advancing years it would become more and more demanding with regard to maintenance and possible health issues.
Over the past couple of years, we had investigated villages on the north coast of NSW and the table lands prior to looking in Dubbo.
We both have family members living in Dubbo and, although there are other desirable areas, Dubbo was the logical choice for us if we were going to move.
We had visited Kintyre Living Village several times (as well as others), trying to decide which would best suite our needs. We were always impressed with the reception we received form the Kintyre Village personnel and nothing was ever too much trouble for them.
Following one visit to “check out a few things again”, we received a follow-up phone call to ask if we were interested in a residence which had come on the market. It was not the right time for us, but we liked that we were contacted.
In July 2018 we received an email letting us know an open day was planned and inviting us to come and have a look at some new residences which had been built. It was thought one of them may suit our needs which we had communicated to the staff on previous visits. We thought we should come and look; we did; and as they say, the rest is history. It was a seamless exercise to make the decision to move to Kintyre Living Retirement Village.
The village is well laid out, there are no fences, the majority of residences are of different plans, therefore they are not the same one after another. It is also possible to add personal touches to a residence if necessary. The gardens and lawn areas are most attractive, and residents can potter in the garden if they so wish.
In addition to the village being a very pleasant place to live there is an Aged Care facility on sight as well. This is a bonus and well worth consideration if there is a possibility of a need for assisted care in the future.
There is a Country Club House, a Social Club, indoor pool, gym, half tennis court and bowling green, a visiting hairdresser, library and a multitude of activities and outings to keep one busy if one wishes to participate. There is no compulsion to do so.
Kintyre Living is a very well managed organisation and having made the decision to move from Sydney to a retirement village in the country we can only describe it as a positive experience.
